Your Neighbors are saying, “Please slow down”

Slow Down SignSpeeding & not stopping at stop signs is a concern I hear many times. The City can install traffic calming measures but often those measures aren’t popular either.

In October, the Traffic Engineer had a meeting about a Traffic Study completed for the area from Inglewood to Vail & Robinson to Manhattan Beach Blvd. The 3 hot spots discussed were:

  1. Gibson & Manhattan Beach Blvd.
  2. Dow/Johnston Triangle average speeds
  3. Beland average speeds

Unfortunately, only 6 people attended the October meeting so we are doing another outreach meeting before this item goes to the Public Works Commission.

Attached is the powerpoint presentation. Redondo’s Traffic Engineer will be on hand to discuss the study at our normally scheduled Neighborhood Meeting on Wednesday, January 22, 6pm to 7:30pm, RB Performing Art Center.

The presentation will also be given to the Public Works Commission on February 24, 7 p.m., City Hall, 415 Diamond.”

Hope to see you!

Yes the running stop signs is rampant at every corner. Now the new thing I’m seeing a lot of is people completely disregarding one way streets and driving down them anyway to get where they want to. There is complete DISREGARD for all traffic laws.
