Sidewalk Maintenance

The City of Redondo is doing a sidewalk maintenance program.

Several sidewalks have been identified as having a 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch of the lip. Redondo has hired a firm to grind down these sidewalks to make it safer for pedestrians.

First, you will see white dots identifying sidewalks that need to be ground down then a day or 2 later, you will see crews with the grinder. They are a bit noisy but quick. The crews can do about 130 grinds per day and about 800 sidewalks will be done in each district.
