2022 Christmas Tree Recycling

It’s time to recycle your Christmas Tree. By recycling your Christmas tree, you can help the environment and keep this valuable resource out of landfills.

Trees should be free from ornaments, tinsel, stands, lights, metal & plastic containers. Flocked trees and trees coated with fire retardant will be accepted.

If you have curbside trash collection: Christmas trees will be picked up at your curbside on normal trash collection day beginning January 3, 2022 through January 28, 2022. Simply place the tree BY your carts by 7:00 A.M. on your normally scheduled trash day.

For District 5, those dates are January 4, January 11, January 18 & January 25.

If you have Centralized Trash Service (Multi-Family & Businesses):

Christmas trees will be picked up at your curbside on your regular residential collection day until January 28, 2022. Simply place the tree at the curb in front of your property by 7:00 A.M.

All trees will be mulched.
